Hi all,

I am working on a site with frames:

My problem is this: in the leftframe (where the navigationbuttons are) I would like a layer to become visible on a mouseover for each button. For now, only the top-button is working. The layer is displayed but only part of it, because of the framewidth. What I would like is for the layer to appear * on top * of all the other frames. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be much appreciated :)

Thanks for you answer, but I don't want to create a menu structure, I just want a layer to become visible when the user mouses over one of my buttons. As far as I can see, this menuscript does not put layers on top of frames. It puts the mainmenus in one frame, and the submenus in a second. Or did I miss something?

I think I found the solution to my problem! The trick is, to define the frame that contains the main text as an inline frame. Next, on the page where the <iframe> tag is inserted, define a layer with a z-index, which will appear on top of the inline frame!

Intersting, so you are basically allowing the content in the iframe to fire events which display the z-index'd element in the parent page?

Experts are only people who have realized how much they will never know about a language.
