Is it possible to force a PDF to open up at a certain percentage when linking to a PDF from a web page?

Client has some PDF's that when browsed to open at various percentages, one of them is like 180%. Which of course destroys any images inside. Client got a call from an advertiser all pissed off because they thought there ad was not being displayed properly inside the PDF and wanted there money back. In all reality all they had to do was adjust the damn percentage the PDF was beinf displayed in their browser.

So all "B.S" of course but to please the client do you guys know if there is a way to force the PDF's to open at 100%?

Thanks in advance.

Yes,
Just make sure the link ends like this:
your.pdf#zoom=100

Didnt work for me. I just basically made a pdf from a web page and saved it to my desktop. Opened up a html file with this link:

<a href="adobe.pdf#zoom=100%">gfgdfgdfgdfg</a

And the PDF opened at 89%

Any ideas?

Yeh those links work. Maybe it has to be a full path for it to work, not sure. Will test it again tomorrow when I get to work.

Thanks for you time,
Carl

Note that your href has a "%" in it and xaqte's URL doesn't. Maybe that's why yours didn't work?

Nah it didnt work either way at first. I added the percent sign to check after it failed the other way, forgot to move it out when I posted my path to the test that didnt work.

Absolute path fixed the problem.

Thanks,
Carl
