I've created an Access Database on which one of the fields displays the IP address of a patticular Cisco Switch.
I would like to have a button on the form which when "clicked" will automatically launch a telnet session to the IP address displayed in that field on the Form -
Can this be done??
Thanks,

How about using SHELL?

SHELL ("telnet " & txtIPAddress,1)

where txtIPAddress is the name of the field on the form. 1 is the windowstyle for normal Window with focus.

I'm unfamiliar with the command line syntax of telnet so there may be additional parameters required. You may also need to add the full path to the telnet program if you don't use a Windows standard telnet. Terry L. Broadbent
