Launching a HTML page from a swf

I have a swf that displays from an html page. I want to launch an html page from that swf to display in the one in the background and close the swf. Can anyone help?

Is your .swf embedded in a popup window over a main browser window? And are you targeting the main browser window to open this new page, while closing the popup?
