I'm trying to launch a .chm file from either vbscript or javascript. I launch other executables; however, I can't seem to get this help file to launch. This particular .chm file is the main file and there are other chapters that are seperate .chm files. I was wondering if I need to somehow specify a working directory so that all of the files are found. Any ideas? 'UNLESS someone like you

This is what i found with a search engine. The link to GDG was dead, but it is the idea....

There is a free- share-ware called HTML Executable © 1998HTML available from G.D.G.Software. This progrem lets you pack all your .chm into one .exe file. On running this file is downloaded, unpacked in a windows/temp directory and started. On closing the temp directory is emptied.

Thanks for the reply. I just found what I was looking for on MSDN. I was able to execute HH.EXE with paramaters to open a specific .chm file to a specific topic.
Syntax: hh mk:mad:MSITStore:path\filename.chm::/topic.htm
