LattisHubs - Security - Volatile?

Hi,
I am trying to work out the security features on old Lattishub stacks (2814/2803-Adv). I have worked out how to insert MAC addresses and get some basic intrusion control, but the settings seem volatile--lost after reset or power-off.
This doesn't seem to make sense-it's a lot of messing about with a poor interface (Optivity 7) to get the addresses in there. Anybody have any of these old critters around, and can shed some light on them?

There was a Synoptics product around called LattisNet Manager.That would help with the 2803-ADV. You might want to try the Nortel ftp site for the Synoptics stuff.
