Hi

I need to create a report using only the last entry in a child table of a 1 to * relationship.

How to I reference these?

Thanks

Louise

why do you need to make a report only displaying the last record???

The reason i am askign is that i want to get a better understanding of what you are trying to achieve and why!

The sub form is tabular and holds periodic details concerning each client. I want to perform calculations on only the last entry for each client.

There is no "last" when it comes to records in an Access table. There may be a "last" when the records are displayed in a query that is sorted by a particular field. Do you have any field and table names as well as your definition of "Last" and the field you use to determine "Last".

Hi

tables are as follows:

tblPersonalDetails RefNo(PK)
tblRisk RiskID (PK)
RefNo (FK)

Date field of tRisk will be used to determine the last record entered.

Louise

You mention a date field but don't clearly state which table it is in or its name. Is the name of the field tRisk? Or, is tRisk the same as tblRisk?
