Is there any way that i can find out when a Dataset Was Created and Last Modified with SAS Code?

Im trying to write a Data Check Macro to Check all of our Datasets (provided by another department), to see if and when they were updated.

So the macro will check when it was created, when it was last modified, how many records etc...

I just need to find out when it was Created and last modified.

Any Ideas?

Yes there is a way that you can get that information, use the Proc contents procedure with the 'out=' option. The dataset that the Proc contents creates has two vars that can help you, CRDATE & MODDATE.
