laserjet 5100 spooler problem

Hello all,

we have a problem with our hp5100lj network
printer. The printer is installed on a NT-server
and shared to the pc's on our floor.

Now this is the problem:
Some of our users only print one-sided papers
and other print only recto-verso. What we have
done is installed the printer 2 times on the server.
Ones with the default paper settings to recto-verso
and ones with one-sided printing as default!
We gave them both a different sharing name and depending
on what the user needs more we've installed this printer
on the pc... (hope this still makes sence)

We did the same with an hp5000lj and it worked fine, but
with the 5100 the spooler shuts down when you send a
job as recto-verso and another user send a one-sided printjob!

Has anyone any idees about this problem?

Which group prints more often/is more important?

Have you tried giving one group priority over the other with or without a time delay to give the printer time to reset?
