Laserjet 4000 question fot the expert

Hello, I have a Laserjet 4000, but I don't have the duplex printing device unit, and I'd like to do it manually. But also I like to divide each page in two (4 is cool too, but the letters are tiny).....I guess that makes more complicated the printing, cause I have to print certain pages first and the rest on the other side of the sheets....

So specifically speaking is there any way to do what I want? Can we print a predetermined sequence of pages?
