Laserjet 2500 sharing problems

Hello,
I'm sorry for my English.
I installed a HP Laserjet Color 2500L into a PC with windows XP PRO, this pc is into a network and I shared the printer. In this pc the printer works fine.

From My Network Places I can find and install the printer, but, if I try to print, there is an error and hothing is printed.
The 2nd pc where I try to install the "network printer" has windows XP PRO.
I tried to install the SW from the CD but the "graphic state" of the printer show me that the printer connection is down.

Do You know the problem?

If the the "graphic state" of the printer is showing you that the printer connection is down it is not seeing the printer. See if you can create the printer by browsing to it from My Network Places.

Televison will make radio obsolete.

In the graphic state I can see the printer but the connection is down! I installed the printer also from "network Place" but the result is the same.

I can think of only two possibilities.
1) The printer no longer works from the PC it is connecting to.
2) The user connecting to the shared printer does not have the rights needed to use the printer.
Beyond this I don't know what to tell you.

try enabling the guest account on each PC - it may be a sharing / permission issue. Especially with Win XP Pro. (Control Panel, user accounts)
