One of my sites has a Laserjet 2200DN printing via a jetdirect external box. when they print envelopes, the first one in the run prints nice and quickly, as do the next few, but, after about 10 - 15 envelopes a delay in the pickup of the next envelope starts to show, by the end of the run the delay is 15 secs per envelope (ie: print one envelope, wait 15 secs, next envelope is fed), the jobs are only 31k per envelope and the printer has 8Mb of RAM. Any help would be greatley appreciated!

Thanks

What driver are you using? What program are you using? What OS are you using? Sounds like a software issue... Joe Miller

sorry..should have said..using the 2200dn driver with win nt 4, sp6. Envelopes being printed from word 2000...
*this thing is driving me insane, i tried telling the usert that it was prob. s/w, but they refute this with a passion you can only dream of!..i'm after proof!! *
)

What 2200DN driver? PCL6, PCL5e or PS? If you're using PCL6, try the PCL5e driver. If you're using the PCL5e driver try the PCL6 driver. If you've tried both the PCL5e and the PCL6 try the built-in HP LaserJet 4 driver. If LJ4 doesn't help try the built-in HP LaserJet II driver, and if none of those work, then it's MS Word that is causing the problem.

Cheers, a change of driver seems to have nailed the prob!)
