Hello,

Just bought a Laserjet 1505n, the problem is that I cannot put tray 2 as the default source tray, when there is paper in tray1 it keeps taking those papers. The printer is connected by network;
The only options that I have for source(paper options) are auto select, manual feed and tray1. No Tray2. Installed the driver from the cd but it seems it's the last one available.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Kind regards,
Outy

I'm not familiar with this model, so I don't know if 'tray 2' is an optional tray or not.

Assuming that it is, most of the LJ drivers require that you configure them to indicate what optional features are available.

For paper trays, this is via the 'Device Settings' tab of the printer Properties dialogue; set the optional tray to 'installed'.
Note that the tab will probably only be available if you are logged in with administrative privilege.

DansDad is correct. Under your Device Settings, you will have to tell it that you have a tray 2 installed.

Hello,

It isn't an optional tray, it's just the tray that comes with the printer. I can't find a pcl6 driver on the hp site so no solution there.

Thanks for the replies!

Kind regards
Frank
