Laserjet 1020 problem

Recently when I click on print I get a screen that says:
Laser waiting for pages to be loaded.
Please follow the steps:
1. load paper in manual tray
2. click the continue button below

I've always printed multible pages in tray #2 which is always loaded with paper. Also red light is flashing on printer.
