Laser jet 5100 will not work on this ONE PC!!

everytime i go to the server share, and right click on this laserjet 5100, it gives me this:

Operation could not be completed. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server.

This printer does work on the other machines in this workgroup, and definitely has not lost its connection to the server. this has to be an issue local to this machine as the printer works everywhere including on the server. ive tried restarting the print services but no good. anybody have any suggestions??

You may have a corrupt mapping to the printer.
If it's just the one workstation, re-map to the printer.

What OS? And what is the printer share name? If your printer share has a space in it, that can cause some problems.

well usually all i do is go to the share and hit connect. if i do it from any other pc it doesnt throw the same error.

im running XP under server 2003. ill have a look at the share name. its frustrating because im here trying to fix it and the girl on the other side of the freakin office is printing away no prob. AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
