large scale printing

i am trying to send a file to an epson stylus 9600 from photoshop, however when i send it to print it comes up with a program error message. i've reduced the size of the image, and it still won't print

So how big is the Photoshop file? How much memory in the printer?

And what's the resolution of the file? And is it RGB or CMYK?
