Our CEO wants to use an external monitor when she has her laptop docked. I plugged the monitor into the dock, and it worked once, but now she's getting a "No Signal" message on the external monitor. I haven't done this type of set up before, but I'm assuming there is a setting somewhere on the laptop for this. To save time, can someone tell me where that setting is? Thanks, Jill

It depends on the laptop, but most if not all have a combination of keys to send the picture to the external monitor.

A function key that enables the additional functions of certain keys plus a specific key.

Look for the key with a small monitor on top of it that is a different color than the rest of the key labels.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thank you. I always see the fn button, and various icons, but never think to look for them when someone emails me with a problem. I'll email the CEO and tell her what to look for.

Yup, also on windows laptops you might need to right-click on the desktop, select output and choose monitor/screen or both. Depends on the laptop and the drivers.

Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.
