laptop video card causes standby mode

Hi,

I have a Samsung V25 laptop which I bought 2nd hand as a backup machine, I reformatted and reinstalled WindowsXP Home SP2 and since then the system goes into standby after 10minutes of use, Ive changed all the power settings to no avail. I found that if I turn off the graphics card (Intel 82845G) then it works however no graphics card = terribe performance.

Does anyone have any ideas? Ive updated all drivers etc, im now clueless.

Did you read the faq's and get the drivers from the samsung site? You might also try some different settings like 16bit color instead of 32bit, etc.
