We are using CRM 3.0 and we have a fair number of users that use it on their lap top and use the 'go offline / go online' functionality (bad choice of terms from MS, but...)to sync the information to the local msde replicant of the CRM database. Recently we have seen a few users whose 'go offline' & 'go online' do not work. Only way to get things to work is to un-install CRM and re-install on their box.

It would seem to me that if you could just have the server re-publish the replicant that everything would be taken care of, but we can not find any way to really make that happen.

Anyone out there have experience with CRM 3.0 and the replication such that trouble shooting problems on the remote workstation (unfortunatly MS is not much help).

I have deployed the outlook client in large environments. If you want to talk respond on this group or at csharpconsulting@hotmail.com

I should have been more specific (sorry)

I have approx 50 remote users world wide on top of the 'connected' users. All are using the Outlook client (very few the web client - don't ask me, I just work here). The remote client is the one that is occasionally causing us concern.

An example: User goes offline & online on Friday - data syncs across perfectly. Monday the 'sync cycle' (offline/online) fails for no apparent reason (but as a DBA I am guessing something to do with the MSDE copy - just a gut feeling from what we saw). Our frustration is that there is no utility that would allow us to tell the remote MSDE to just re-sync everything. The only thing we have found that will 'fix' the problem is a complete un-install and re-install of the software.

Note the problem does not happen often, but I would wager that 5-10 of the 50 folks have had to have their CRM re-installed in the last 2-3 months and once that happens they are good to go, so what I am really looking for is better problem solving tools and since CRM 3 is still a bit 'young', I am not finding much success in looking for folks that have other solutions...

this make sense?
