I once re-soldered the power input recptacle component on a laptop motherboard. Recently the small 3 prong component has quit working, anyone know where to get one? It is the small component where the power cable plugs into the laptop.
laptop is an HPze4230.

I have found the easiest way of repairing this PCB mounted component is to fit one of these in the hole and solder 3 wires to the PCB or what is left of the terminals.
I've repaired at least a dozen different models like this.
(Note* sometimes, although not very often, you have to replace the plug in end of the adapter as well to suit)
