Hi,

I've got a fairly new laptop running Vista Pro. I have had it online before no problem. Now though, I still get the little globe icon saying I'm connected to my wireless network but when I try and go to any websites I just get the standard 'IE cannot connect to his website'. I've run all the troubleshooting things and diagnostics but it NEVER comes up with an answer.

Also, it still receives and installs updates from Microsoft, so it must physically be able to retrieve stuff from the 'net!

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Does using a virgin install of a different browser (e.g. Firefox) work?

if so, it could be something in your IE connection settings that is badly configured.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Smah - nope nothing works except Windows receiving and installing updates, and also winamp recognises that its online too, but doesn't let you install any winamp updates. I'll try resetting the IE settings. Cheers.

BillyRay - been something I've been meaning to try all week just haven't pulled my finger out yet!
