Laptop/Notebook Compatability with RH7.0

My friend has a new Laptop/Notebook which he wants to install Linux on. However, i've looked at this machine and all it says in terms of a model or brand name is :

' Hi-Grade Notino 3400 '

I've checked Red Hat's hardware compatability list and it doesn't figure anywhere on the list. But i find that hord to believe that a new piece of hardware is not compatable with Linux.

How can i be sure b4 i format the darn thing ?

This appears to be the spec of that notebook from Hi-grade's cyprus site -->

. They also seem to have sold it in the UK as 'atlas flyer' -->

The spec doesn't seem anything out of the ordinary so I suspect it would probably be OK - you can always revert to windows if not.
