Hi all
Strange issue with a brand new HP laptop running win2k pro on an AD domain. The machine functions fine docked and on the network. Once it gets booted up and the user logs in, he has approx 5 minutes and the system completely locks up. I can't light up the cap locks/num lock keys nothing works. I need to hold the power button down to reboot the system.
Putting the laptop back in the bay and logging in again works fine, but there are no entries in event viewer to indicate what happened. The only other strange issue is the windows update globe keeps showing up in the system tray indicating updates were ran and a reboot is required even after the thing has been shut off and on multiple times.
If anyone has had this issue or similar issues and can shed any light on whats going on it would be much appreciated.
