Hi,
Very puzzled...to date I had successfully installed GW6 on a dozen Dell laptops running XP without a hitch. By running the program "offline" at first, it always forced a pop-up window which allowed me to enter the IP address for connection.
Just purchased a new Sony Vaio and have spent hours uninstalling/reinstalling, etc... to no avail. When I start the program it INSISTS that I create a remote folder and enter the proper domain, user, post office, etc.. information or it quits. If I humor it and fill in the blanks for a remote connection, it eventually gives me an email view, but will not allow me to change back to "online" mode, like the other laptops. It says it must restart to change modes, but after restarting GW it just comes back in Remote again.
Could there be something unique about the Sony box that is causing this - perhaps a later XP version..?? I'm stumped and would greatly appreciate any ideas you may have.
Thanks a bunch,
JGiles
