Hi All
I have an old laptop that the screen is broken. I want to use the internal hard drive as an additional external storage drive for my new laptop.

Can someone tell me what to do as far as I think I need to buy a hard drive case?

Is it as simple as inserting the internal drive into the case and then plugging it into my new laptop via the USB port? Is it self powered?

Many thanks
Tee

Yes! that simple.
Make sure the drive is set to master (which it should be anway) install in a 2.5inch external hard drive caddy.
You may need to go into "Disk Management" to format.
