I came across and advertisement for a Laptop Drive Converter 2.5 to 3.5 inch. It would supposedly enable a laptop hard drive to be used as a drive on a desktop. It even came with mounting rails so you could mount it on your desktop even. I then called BestBuy about this and they didn't know what I was talking about.

Has anyone heard of this? If so, do you know if local stores carry them or is this a product that you can only get of the net?

If your wondering why I would want to do this - let's say it's a learning experience. ;)

Thank you for any feedback.

Taking into consideration the price per meg (or gig) between a laptop drive and desktop drive I would think this device to be short lived.

Al
atc-computing@home.com

Fujitsu used to offer a kit - they may still sell it.
