HI

Is there any way(cables..USBs..pin converters.. etc..) for connecting my desktop pc's internal hard drive to a laptop; any laptop for that matter.. ?

BestRegards and TIA..

Firewire too, but i suppose most laptops would have usb before they would have firewire.

Networking them or using laplink and connecting through the serial or parallel ports.

If it was the other way you could get an adapter that would allow you to physically mount the laptop drive in the desktop.

thanks folks.. for the replies.
I think for my need the usb enclosure..would do just fine.. but I have one doubt though.. lets say if I want to boot from the externally connected hard-disk..ofcourse here is an os on it as it was being used as the primary disk on the desktop; which connection is most advisable? I believe.. the connection speed is most important criterion here.. so..my question..basically boils down to ..which is the speediest or fastest connection..possible for an externally connected hard-disk.

You are going to have problems booting with anything more advanced than DOS due to the hardware differences. And if you do get it to start booting the drivers it will try to load will corrupt the drive enough that it probably will be useless on the desktop.
Better to keep the alien hardware hidden from both drives.
