laptop boot problem

i have a toshiba tecra 8000 that has a partitioned drive,it used to start up
with the option of booting win98 or nt, but now goes directly to win 98
can anyone help me
 
Hey, try checking your autoexec.bat file and see what's blocking you winnt from booting. Did you load any drivers or programs before that happened and had to reboot your laptop. As long as winnt is still there your ok.
 
Check out your BOOT.INI file is still good. This is a hidden system file in the root directory, and is read only. This is where you select the op system to use...
