I have to replace my laptop.....newer laptops with windows 7 or windows 8...do these operating systems allow one to access the BCM or Ayaya IP?? can you install the old Nortel Remote Utilities on these newer operating systems

Works fine with my Win 7. I have also been able to use the virtual XP machine.

If its not working, get a bigger hammer!

You should be ok with WIN7 on 32 BIT.
Otherwise in case you need for 64 BIT:

If you're talking about NRU for Norstar - XP yes, Vista yes, 7 no, 8 no.

If you're talking about BCM 200/400 - you should be OK with whatever the latest version of Java you have (it's been a while since I had to access one). BCM 50/450 - the latest version of Business Element Manager from Avaya should work in whatever version of Windows you're running and whatever version of software you're running on the BCM.

Not 100% sure of IP Office Manager... I typically don't work with those systems (we have a handful out there that we have a few guys trained on but have gone out to service if they're tied up). again, download the latest version from Avaya's website.
