We are finding that performance of Livelink seems poor when using the Web Services layer to perform Livelink functions like updating Attribute values etc. Does anyone have any experience of this with any conclusions or areas that they found made a difference ?

This is just my recommendation on livelink performance monitoring.What I would do in this case is to
turn wantSummaryTimings=TRUE in your opentext.ini.If it is not there just add it to the options .I do not know if you need debug turned on if you turn it to 2 you will get a lot of entries.This will give you a csv file that then you can analyse.For an explanation on the different times go to KB and run a search for wantsummarytimings and it will give you a lot of posts.This is the poorman's monitor.We actually use this file and have written an Oscript request handler that will parse the file and show bottle necks
