LAPI and Notifications

LAPI does not support notification per -se.But if you were to look at the underlying database schema of livelink you would probably understand how easy it would be to do something like this with pl/sql,LAPI etc .But if more customers said they needed notification support thru lapi Opentext may well hear about it and really do something about it.
One more thing does a folder have a email setting in livelink.I believe only projects in livelink has email notification in it.When you add notification for a folder aren't you using your email id or for that matter any other valid email to know of things happening to that folder.
All the interests are notification bitmasks in a livelink table and onec you are in it you will find it very easily maniplulatable
