Hi.

I´m trying to figure out this feature of language toggle, I have set the default language to English and the alternate language to german, the value of language toggle is 8.

How can I use this, ande how do I toggle between the different modes? I have tried to press 8 when i´m calling to a voicemail box but nothing happens.

maybe a strange question :)

system is Mitel 3300 ICP SW 4.2

Regards U

It only works when you are transferred in to a voicemail box that has been setup with greeting and name.
If you say in your greeting that if you would like German prompts press 8 then all further voicemail prompts will be played n German

Could you elaborate a little more on how this function works? I have a multi-level auto attendant with 1 for English and 2 for Spanish. I would like the auto attendant prompts to remain in English when someone presses 1 but would like them to be in Spanish when they Press 2.

Is Spanish language installed by default on a 3300 MXe w/ MCD 4.0 SP1? I was told the auto attendant languages werent available unless specifically installed..

thanks

You will need to setup a MLAA tree with the top level MLAA prompting to press 1 for English 2 for German then have a new MLAA's for the preceeding languages. (linked together)
You will then record your prompts in the language for that MLAA

There is no option for language change in MLAA only in individual mailboxes and you only have a choice of 2 languages.

In Voice Mail Prompt Language Assignment Form I have Default Language English, Bilingual True, Set Alt Language to Spanish, Language Toggle 2.

I have a Menu Node that says press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish. When one presses either 1 or 2 it goes to another menu node that says if they want to speak to a rep press 1. I can have the Spanish greeting say press 2 if needed though.

Is there any additional configuration that needs to be done? You mentioned individual voicemail messages there is a choice of 2 languages. Is that set somewhere?

I dont believe just changing the form, is doing anything..

thanks

i see in the voicemail configuration per box you can change the language there. I guess i dont understand the point of the language toggle button.

the language toggle button is for the prompts in a mailbox for the caller so that they can understand when to speak and play further options
