Language setting in Crystal XI - change from english to french

hi,

i have a question...
i want the data of crystal reports which is in english to be converted to spanish, french and other languages.
is is possible to convert the data at reporting level if yes what are the setting required in crystal reports.

i would be thankfull if any one provides a solution...

There is, to my knowledge, no simple way to do this with Crystal.

You could certainly do word replacements on your text, but the syntax of the new sentence would be heavily mangled.

Unless the vocabulary of your data was very limited, such as invoice items. Then you could write various formulas that replaced specific phrases. If it is complex beyond a small set of words you would be needing something else.

If you are really ambitious on this, you could maybe do some programming with either Babelfish's APIs or Google's and build a web page that translates it. But that is beyond my scope to tell you how to do it. You certainly can set up your report on a web page and direct non-English speakers to one of the translation sites, of course.

There is no simple way that I know of internal to crystal. But if anyone happens to come up with a good way to do it, I would be more than happy to learn that trick.
