I have setup a webpage under inetpub/ and for all internet users outside of my lan, they can see it fine however, computers in my own lan cannot get to it from the internet. They get a no page error. Any suggestions?

Do you have a internal dns server running, if so try adding in the dns entries onto the workstations, if that does work ,change it to obtain automatically.

1. Do you have a internal ip assigned to this site or do you use host headers?

2. If you do have a internal ip...try pinging it or doing a traceroute on it.

I have the dns server running on my server. It has an internal IP address and it's gateway is the internal address of the router. Basically xxx.xxx.xxx.1 is the internal of the router. I had put the dns entries of the ISP in the client PCs. Can I just remove those?

I will try the ping test also.

OK, the post from jonax helped. I was able to go to and bring up my webpage. Is that expected? Should I be allowed to access the webpage via the internet?
