LAN to LAN Setup with both Netscreen 50's 1

Hi there,

Does any one know how to setup an VNP (LAN - LAN)with two Netscreen 50's OS 4.03.

I followed an guide but still it doesn't want to work.

I can e-mail you the detailed info if needed?

Could any one help me?

Since your environment is presumeably static. (both untrusted IPs are fixed) follow the instructions for a Manual key setup. It is more simple than the dynamic key and just as secure.

Simple things to remember or do make it easy for starters.

1. use the same security identifier for both sides.
2. the Gateway setting is the untrusted IP of the box you are not on.
3. The VPN policy should go at the top of the policy list.
4. The VPN policy should be bi-directional
