The office lan have a dns server 192.168.1.1 , When I install a freebsd client demos1 : 192.168.1.28
is it possible to only config my machine to let others know demos1=192.168.1.28 , and not input it in the dns of 192.168.1.1 or the hosts of others.

Negative chief. What you want could only occur if the other machines were looking to you to find out demos1=192.x.x.x, but they aren't, they're looking to the dns server. basically, what you're talking about would be the same sense as dns hijacking. you could just as easily tell other boxes that so nope, not possible IMO
