just i want to know the difference between

LAN CTE and personal call manager

i know the use of personal call manager , but what about
lan cte ?????

thanks....

Lan cte is the telephony computer tapi interface between the PC and the BCM.

You need 1 lan cte licence for each computer that you want to connect to the BCM to dial out via your phone extension.
You need the lan cte to talk to the PC via the BCM

the personal call manager(PCM) is like a pop up that allows you to control calls from your PC,
you can dial out, transfer dnd etc like using your phone But you still need to assosiate the PCM to your extension Number.

It does not replace your phone you still need a physical phone.

if a call comes in the PCM will pop up displaying the called number Provided you have CLID.

Hope this helps as its only a brief summary
