HI,

I am managed to connect 2 offices where the distance is around 12KM. Any approach can be used to establish the ethernet LAN to connect both offices? How about with using the wireless LAN? Any supported wireless devices for distance around 12KM?

More info please.
What is it you need to transfer?
Can you set up both buildings with their own connection to the internet?
What is the area like around the buildings?
Do you have line of sight?

Hi Franklin97355,

The connection is established purposely for sharing some programs and files. Yes, i can setup both building for internet connection and currently leased line is used for internet access. But it is not convenient for program and file sharing among both offices. So, i plan to setup the wireless LAN to connecting both offices. Heard that the wireless LAN is confined by distance and geography. Unluckily, the distance of both offices are around 12KM and with bad geographical surface like hilly areas. Any good recommendation/suggestion? Thanks!

Via the internet, you may wish to set up a VPN, it will appear to be as slow as the uplink speeds of your internet access.

I used Proxim Tsunami unlicenced 45 mbps full duplex ethernet plus T1 wireless bridges to connect about 25 miles, (40 km) line of sight hilltop to hilltop.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
