I have a CS1000M. We had a person come back from leave recently and her ACD set had to be rebuilt. I programmed her identically to a colleague, and her DN is acquired in symposium okay.

The phone is working, she gets to voicemail alright, but we have this odd issue:

Here message waiting light doesn't come on. CLS is set for MWA and LMPN. Our switch maintenance provider put in a new digital line card because we are running short of TNs. I used a TN off this new card.

The client suggests that the phone at her desk was used recently by someone else [on another TN] and the LED worked so she suggests it is not the phone.

I wonder if there are digital line cards out there that don't fully support message waiting lamps, and if so what vintages are they? Do you need an auxiliary lamp card to get message waiting indication if there is such a digital line card?

thanks in advance?

The person's DN appears on more than one phone. Remove it from the other phones and the light will work.

Or - add an XMWK Key. Searching this forum for "XMWK" will produce some insight.

It might be worth checking within the voicemail system to see if the "message waiting indication DN" was changed whilst the user was on leave.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
