? am having trouble setting-up ?lackberry ?nterprise ?erver - when ? send the activation e-mail from the ?lackberry handset, the data e-mail does not go through.

? have sent it succesfully to an external gmail account, but it does not go to the ?xchange account. ?t does not get trageted by my spam filter either, it just does not show up. ?t does have an attachment that is a .dat file, is it possible that ?xchange has a setting to block those e-mails, if so, where would ? find it? ????? we use ?yamntec ?ail ?ecurity and ? have added the senders to the whitelise already?

?ny ideas?

Activation email?

Use desktop manager to sync it to Outlook, set the PIN up etc and add the user to the BES from the GAL and it just works.

Main suggestion is a new keyboard.

You could also try the enterprise activation icon from the blackberry if it's still there. You give the email address and the activation password you set on the user inside BES. If that account has many items in the mailbox it could take a very long time to sync wirelessly. In that case Zelandakh's suggenstion would activate the handheld much faster.

The ETP (Email Transfer Protocol) email that the Exchange server should receive in the user's mailbox is being blocked somewhere. This email is required by the BES and contains the encryption details for the BES to activate the handheld successfully.

If you try using a google account and it's getting thru then you need to look at your corporate environment and find where it's being blocked. Look for any email containing "ETP" and coming from blackberry.net
