Recently, last week, an glitch appeared in my use of Lotus word pro. At first the program would not copy to clipboard. Next it would not save to other formats, but ONLY to word pro.
Program will NOT export to any but .LWP format. The next glitch is when starting a document, the screen appears sans toolbars and ability to function at all. Now I realize this is probably a setting, however I am unable to correct this on my own. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with each installation compounding the matter.
SM Suite ver. N99.6.0004.250
Wordpro ver. 99.7.108.1400
Lotus has previously worked fine for many months on XP platform.
Thank you for assisting.

That version information indicates you have the 9.7 version of Word Pro. It should work find under XP.

It sounds like something in the environment has changed. Have you installed a new printer driver? Changed the default printer which must be a real printer and not a fax/pdf type driver? Any other software installed recently? Checked for viruses?

Note that you probably have tried uninstall-reinstall several times and there could be junk left over in your registry that is causing errors. You can find information on the IBM Support web site on how to do a "clean install" of the Suite. That might help too.

Another tech note (1192174):
Problem
There are customer-reported issues with Lotus SmartSuite® applications running on Windows XP Service Pack 2 that may cause some programs to stop working properly. For example, there can be extremely slow file access in Lotus 1-2-3® and Lotus Approach®, slow or loss of network access or wifi connectivity, document corruption especially when converting to a Microsoft Office format, and loss of SmartIcons functionality.

Solution
At this time, the exact cause is not known. In every reported instance, the issue was resolved by removing Service Pack 2 and then installing just the hotfixes and security patches.

That is about all I can help with at this point.
