Just installed Exchange 2000 and sp3 onto a 2000 server (member server), but it appears that the GAL does not appear on all the machines when you click on the address list button in Outlook, or on the 'to' button when composing an email.

Also experiencing problems when trying to allow a user to open additional email accounts (permissions are all correct), but when I hit the add button, it comes back with can't find the mailbox type error message.

I have noticed that when I look at the GAL properties in the Exchange profile on the client machines, it keep switching between the 3 domain controllers (srv1, srv2, and srv3), while exchange is installed on srv5.

Any ideas? I have previously installed Exchange 2000 and not seen these problems (and shared the mail boxes), so I am sure this is an exchange thing... (as apposed to me getting permissions wrong), as I can eventually get it to add the users, but it might take me 10 minutes (of retrying), rather than about 30 seconds!

Cheers,
Matt
