Labor Quoting

I am going to attempt to start up my own install and upgrade company and what I am having trouble with is figuring out the quoting. I would like to keep it as simple as possible. Do any of you have any tools that may help a startup? I can figure it out on how long it would take me but I also do not want to short cut myself.

Had a friend that did 200 phone 1000e for 25k. Seems a little high to me.

any help would be appreciated. maybe I could return the favor some time.

Just make sure you are Certified by Nortel. I know someone that did the same and Nortel wouldn't ship the upgrades until he came back Certified through Prometric. He about lost the customer because of that.

I installed an option 11 with 300 phones and voicemail, customer paid about 235,000.00 i think all together, plus alot of manhours to rewire some of the closets.

As far as bidding jobs - if you know how many hours something will take, take all your costs, insurance, gas, rent, parts, and calculate it out. Something like this could be the tool you need
