Hey guys,

I am a pretty new user to RS but I have put together a few reports. I'm using PCPayroll and I was wondering in what table I should look to find YTD info for my employees and the table that includes temporary department changes.

I am trying to get the info that would be in the labor distribution report. Since we will alot of times have people temporarily change departments to help out, we use alot of the labor distribution numbers instead of the payroll register numbers.

I can't figure out where this info is located in the tables.

Labor allocation is not directly stored in any of the tables in ADP - you will need to use the AL_ALA_DATA table (not sure if that is the correct name for your system but it should be pretty close). the earnings distribution amounts and/or percentage are stored in this table along with the effective date of teh pay group / co code, file #, dept and percentage and/or amount...

The achillies heel here - if the business process of setting up the allocation is not uniform (that is only the allocated depts are noted or the pay group / co code & file # combination sum up to 100% [using the home dept if nec]) then you have your work cut out for you...

I do have a custom program using MS Access that takes care of all this if this is the route your company wants to go - but that is something that you need to decide...
