Labels

I have been programming for a few years, but have only recently started using vss. When I add a label indicating a new program revision, what files are affected? (files after the label or files between the new label and the last one)?

Most of you probably know this one, but it is confising the x out of me (I need to know that I can successfully go back to a previous version if I need to).
