Labels and FrameNumbers

This must be simple, if someone could help with the syntax, that would be great;

I am looking to find the frame number of a frame label. That simple. How do I change a frame label into it's corresponding frame number?

Send the playhead to the labeled frame, and then trace the timeline's _currenframe.

Is there a different way? I am doing that already, it just seems silly to move it to the position. What if the position is else where and you want to make a comparison on it? Thanks...
