A quick observation I am trying to see an explanation for.
In a lab excercise,

With RIP V2 advertising.
Network 10.0.0.0 auto summary off

OSPF advertising
Network 10.0.0.0 0.255.255.255 area 0
Network 172.16.0.2 0.0.0.0 area 0 (Loopback)
Network 192.0.0.0 0.255.255.255 area 0

Why would 1 RIP route be showing in the Show IP route
this is a 10 address used for the serial link to an exact match of my lab on s0/2/1

Hope this is enough info.

ACA - IP Office Implement
ACA - IP Telephony
CCENT - Cisco ICND1
CCNA - Working towards.

Can you post the "show IP route" output?

Is there a subnet in the 10.0.0.0 range on a router that is not running OSPF?

I'm not an expert, so I could be way off. Sitting my CCNA TOMORROW! Aaargh!
