Hi I've got a problem with my L700e having trouble unloading tapes from the 9840b's.I've got two L700's linked with 9840b's in each.It seems as though the gripper can't pull the tapes out from the drives.On checking I'd have to say that the cartridge mech's are too stiff, any one seen this before?

I think the problem is likely related to the 9840 and not the gripper. Do you get an error message on the L700e? Op panel. If the gripper is pulling the cartridges ok from other drives, it is highly unlikely that the gripper is at fault. Try moving the problem drive to different slots in the library and see if the problem follows the drive, which I suspect it will.
