L700 tape library

We are looking to put a L700 tape library (10 FC drives)
with a fiber interface to a Sun V880.

My question is can the L700 connect to an existing MacData switch. There is very limited documentation on Sun and other sites.

If anyone has connected a L700 fiber interface , I would appreciate any information.

The only way to connect the STK L700 to a McData switch is by using the McData ES1000 switch/Hub and bridging it to a standard switch.
