I have question regarding cisco L3 3750 switch. Can I use a 3750 switch to use one port for wan link and run BGP and other ports to be used as LAN connectivity for users.

Assuming you have the appropriate image on your switch to support BGP, then the answer is yes!

You can change a port simply from an access to routes port by issuing the "no switchport" command.

My concern is possiblity to put one put in routed mode for WAN connectivity and the rest ports in L2 mode. We plan to run BGP with appropriate image. Will there be no problem is we run both the connections on the same switch. Help me with the configuration. thanks

Hi,
Did you ever resolved your HSRP problem. In any case, this will cause no problems. It's just like having a router and switch in the same box.For the conf, you just need to make one of the ports level 3 as "Belushi" said. Then configure BGP as normal. For layer 2 you will have create a VLAN for the host.
Regards
